  • Does the game use the tab key to target enemies, or do you have to hit what you swing at?

- Both. Swordsman has 3 kinds of control scheme settings. Swordsman Classic is the traditional tab-targeting while Action mode is "hit what you swing at".

  • How was combat balanced around the choice?

- Every control scheme has its own strength. Swordsman Classic is easy to learn as the tab-targeting function can help you kill the opponent quickly in group combat. Action mode is a little complicated, but gives more freedom and accuracy. It is best when predicting movements in solo PvP.

  • How strong are “CC” (crowd control) abilities in PvP?

- CC abilities are not super powerful in-game. The core feature of PvP in Swordsman is getting familiar with the skill system and creating a unique customized skillset based on your opponent's skills. Every class has a chance to kill their opponent with one well executed combo.

  • Are there any PvP modifiers to how skills would normally work such as global crowd control length reduction?

- No changes are made to the skills of players whether they are in PvP or PvE. However, in the future we would like to add an attribute to gear which reduces CC length.

  • Are there any future plans of mounted combat for Swordsman?

- We have ideas for such a system in the future, but they are still in the early planning stages.

  • Are there any PvP specific skills or general skills available to all classes? If yes, are there plans for more in the future?

- There are no PvP specific skills in Swordsman, but there are Lost Art skills that are available to all classes. We plan to add more Lost Art skills to the game in future updates, as it is one of the biggest features for Swordsman.

  • Is there a buff and debuff system to Swordsman?

- Yes, there are both offensive and defensive skills that give status changes for a duration.

  • What kind of PvP events are there in Swordsman?

- Currently, PvP events in-game are: The Way of Dragon, Kung Fu Contest, the Challenging Guild Events, and more. In the future, we will be adding PvP battlegrounds and a faction system.

  • Is open world PK available?

- Yes, it is available in the wild maps, which are seperate from cities and schools.

  • Are there any griefing deterrents added to the game?

- Hmm, we believe the competition associated with player combat and increased conflicts will add more enjoyment to the game. Comraderie can come about from such interactions, increasing the strength and number of bonds made between players.

  • Is stun-locking possible in Swordsman?

- If "Stun-locking" refers to stacking stun durations on top of each other, then stun-locking is not possible in Swordsman. The way combat works in Swordsman, stuns can be interrupted by launchers while launchers can be interrupted by moves that "knock prone".

  • What’s your favorite class to play in PvP?

- It's a hard choice *smiles*. Most designers enjoy the Wu-tang School because of its CC abilities. One female designer likes the Splendor School because the handsome protagonist in the Swordsman novel is from Splendor School.
